Gendarmstien

The gendarmstien (constable path) is a Danish long distance hiking trail going from Padborg to Høruphav and covers approximately 74 kilometres. It has got its name from the Danish border gendarmes who patrolled the border on foot and controlled the ship traffic in the fjord.

Gråsten slot

Gråsten Palace (Danish: Gråsten Slot) is best-known for being the summer residence of the Danish royal family. It is located in Gråsten in the Jutland region of southern Denmark. The main house has a modern, all-white facade, with Venetian doors opening onto sweeping, manicured lawns and gravel walkways. The grounds include a huge stables court.

Sønderborg slot

Sønderborg Castle is located in the town of Sønderborg, Denmark on the island of Als in South Jutland. It houses a museum focusing on the history and culture of the area. It was built to provide protection against attacks by the Wends, and was part of a larger system of fortifications.

Dybbøl mølle

Dybbøl Mill was the centre of heavy fighting in both 1848 and 1864. Exhibitions have been fitted in the mill and in the granary, telling the mill's history, about Dybbøl as a national symbol for Danes and Germans, and about soldiers' graves in Southern Jutland.

Danfoss Universe

Danfoss Universe is a science park, where children and adults play their way to knowledge of science. Here you can romp from one experiment and fun-filled natural phenomenon to the next. You can experience a geyser leap 18 metres into the air, dig with a real excavator and go hunting among your "multiple intelligences".
